Managing Director/CEO

Our client, a licensed Microfinance Bank, is seeking a visionary Managing Director/CEO. The successful candidate will provide the strategic leadership and executive management required to drive the bank's growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability. We are looking for an individual with deep banking experience, a proven track record of leading high-performing financial teams, and a passionate commitment to financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the bank's long-term business strategy, financial targets, and operational milestones approved by the Board.
• Ensure absolute compliance with Central Bank regulations, statutory laws, and internal risk policies.
• Provide visionary leadership to the executive management team and promote an inclusive, high-integrity corporate culture.
• Oversee deposit mobilization strategies, credit portfolio growth, and the deployment of digital/alternative banking channels.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, shareholders, institutional investors, and community stakeholders.
• Maintain optimal asset quality, capital adequacy, and liquidity ratios to ensure the financial health of the bank.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Professional certification in Banking (e.g., CIBN) or Microfinance Management is mandatory.
• Minimum of 15–20 years of core banking experience, with at least 8–10 years spent in senior executive or leadership roles.
• Strong familiarity with microfinance regulatory frameworks, credit risk management, and micro-lending operations.
• High alignment with ethical leadership, community development, and the core social-impact values and ethos of the institution.
• Must be a Catholic member.
