JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an insight-driven and analytical Strategist to support the development and execution of brand, communication, and campaign strategies for Light Incorporated.

Reporting to the Creative Director — Strategy, who leads strategic direction within the agency, this role will focus on translating business objectives, consumer insights, and cultural trends into well-structured strategic inputs that inform creative development.

Working closely with Brand Management and Creative teams, the Strategist will contribute to the development of strategic frameworks, prepare clear and compelling briefs, and ensure all outputs are grounded in data, research, and relevant consumer understanding.

The role requires a strong balance of analytical thinking and creativity, with the ability to support strategy development, interrogate briefs, and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced advertising and marketing environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

● Support and contribute to the development of brand, communication, and campaign strategies in alignment with the agency’s strategic direction.

● Translate client briefs into clear strategic frameworks, positioning, and well-structured creative briefs.

● Lead day-to-day strategic thinking on assigned projects, ensuring consistency and depth of insight across all deliverables.

● Conduct in-depth research including market analysis, audience segmentation, cultural insights, and competitive reviews.

● Identify, analyze, and synthesize consumer insights and data into compelling strategic directions.

● Collaborate closely with the Creative Director – Strategy & Copy to refine strategic thinking and ensure alignment with overall creative vision.

● Work with Creative, Content, and Digital teams to guide execution and ensure all outputs are grounded in strategy.

● Actively lead and participate in ideation sessions, contributing strategic perspectives to campaign concepts and big ideas.

● Support the development of campaign architecture across digital, social, and traditional channels.

● Contribute to client meetings and presentations, clearly articulating strategic rationale and recommendations.

● Define campaign objectives, KPIs, and measurement frameworks in collaboration with relevant teams.

● Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, providing strategic insights and recommendations for optimization.

● Stay up to date with industry trends, cultural shifts, and emerging platforms to inform strategic thinking.

● Contribute to new business pitches through research, insight development, and strategic input.

EDUCATION:

● Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

● Minimum of 4 years’ experience in strategy, planning, or related roles within advertising, marketing, or creative agencies.

● Proven experience developing and contributing to brand and campaign strategies.

● Experience working across multiple clients and industries.

● Demonstrated ability to translate insights into clear and actionable strategic direction.

● Experience contributing to strategy in client pitches is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

● Strong understanding of advertising and marketing agency operations.

● Knowledge of brand strategy and integrated marketing communications.

● Understanding of consumer behavior, cultural insights, and audience segmentation.

● Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

● Awareness of digital marketing, social media strategy, and content ecosystems.

● Market and trend analysis capability.

● Technology savvy.
