Animation Tutor

A startup needing an Animation Tutor.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Animation Tutor to teach students the art and techniques of digital animation. You will guide beginners and intermediate learners in creating engaging 2D animations, motion graphics, character animations, and explainer videos using industry-standard tools. Your role will help students produce professional-quality animations for social media, advertising, education content, and client projects.

Key Responsibilities

Teach core animation principles: timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, follow-through, and storytelling through motion.

Deliver hands-on training on key tools, primarily Adobe After Effects, with exposure to Adobe Animate, Blender (3D basics), and other relevant software.

Cover motion graphics, kinetic typography, character animation, transitions, and visual effects.

Guide students through complete projects: explainer videos, social media animations, logo animations, short films, and promotional content.

Create structured lesson plans, exercises, assignments, and portfolio-building projects.

Conduct live classes, practical workshops, animation critiques, and one-on-one mentoring.

Teach rigging basics, lip-sync, camera movements, and rendering/exporting best practices.

Review student work and provide constructive, encouraging feedback.

Stay updated with current animation trends, techniques, and emerging tools.

Requirements & Qualifications

1–5 years of professional experience in animation and motion graphics.

Strong mastery of Adobe After Effects (advanced level) and good knowledge of Adobe Animate or Blender.

Solid portfolio showcasing diverse animation work (motion graphics, character, explainer videos, etc.).

Previous teaching, tutoring, or workshop experience is a strong advantage.

Excellent ability to break down animation concepts for beginners.

Creative mindset with strong storytelling and attention to detail.

Good understanding of design principles and collaboration with graphic designers & video editors.

Patient, energetic, and passionate about helping students develop their creative skills.

Degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field is an advantage (strong portfolio and practical experience matter more).
