Head, Business Development

Job Summary

Our client, a licensed Microfinance Bank, seeks a dynamic Head of Business Development. The successful candidate will drive market expansion, deposit mobilization, and customer acquisition, focusing on scaling the bank's loan portfolio and savings volume through strategic retail partnerships, MSME engagement, and innovative micro-banking products. We are looking for a results-driven professional with deep retail banking experience, a proven track record of meeting aggressive portfolio growth targets, and a passionate commitment to financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute aggressive sales, market entry, and deposit mobilization strategies to meet target metrics.
• Identify new market segments, clusters, and MSME associations for micro-credit and retail liability products.
• Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of the sales, credit officers, and relationship management teams.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to optimize existing loan structures and savings products.
• Ensure low non-performing loan (NPL) ratios by verifying that the sales team adheres strictly to credit risk underwriting standards during onboarding.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management within a Microfinance Bank or retail commercial banking environment.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deposit and credit portfolio targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
