Web Development/ JavaScript Tutor

A startup needing a Web Development/JavaScript Tutor.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Web Development / JavaScript Tutor to teach students modern web development from fundamentals to job-ready level. You will guide beginners and intermediate learners through HTML, CSS, and especially JavaScript, while building real-world, responsive websites and interactive web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Teach web development fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design, Flexbox, Grid, and modern layout techniques.

Deliver in-depth JavaScript training covering ES6+, DOM manipulation, asynchronous programming (Async/Await, Fetch API), OOP, and modern JavaScript best practices.

Teach popular frameworks/libraries, primarily React.js (with Next.js as a plus).

Guide students in building complete projects: landing pages, dashboards, e-commerce sites, portfolio websites, and full-stack applications.

Teach version control with Git & GitHub, deployment (Netlify, Vercel, Hostinger, etc.), and basic backend integration (Firebase, Node.js/Express basics).

Create structured lesson plans, coding exercises, assignments, and portfolio projects.

Conduct live classes, practical workshops, code reviews, and one-on-one mentoring.

Help students debug code effectively and develop problem-solving skills.

Support students in building strong professional portfolios for freelancing or employment.

Requirements & Qualifications

1–5 years of hands-on experience in web development.

Strong mastery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).

Solid experience with React.js (mandatory) and familiarity with Next.js is a big advantage.

Proficiency in Git, responsive design, and modern development workflows.

Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is highly preferred.

Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, patient, and engaging manner.

Up-to-date with current web development trends and best practices.

Portfolio of web projects (personal website, GitHub repositories, or live demos) is required.

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is an advantage (strong practical experience is prioritized).
