POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an organised, professional and people-focused HR Officer to support dGOLD’s human resources, recruitment, onboarding and employee administration activities in Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting HR operations, recruitment coordination, employee records, onboarding processes, policy implementation and general people administration.
This role requires strong organisational skills, discretion, professionalism and the ability to work with internal teams in a fast-moving and international business environment.
The role will involve working closely with management, department leads, finance, compliance and external advisors to support people operations and help build a structured, professional workplace culture.
This is a hybrid role based in Abuja, Nigeria.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support recruitment processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination and candidate communication.
Assist with onboarding new employees and ensuring a smooth joining process.
Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, HR files and related documentation.
Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures and internal guidelines.
Assist with attendance, leave tracking, employee documentation and HR administration.
Coordinate with management and department leads on staffing needs and HR-related matters.
Support employee communication, engagement and basic employee relations activities.
Assist with performance review coordination and follow-up processes when required.
Support payroll-related documentation and coordination with finance when needed.
Ensure HR activities are handled with confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
Support compliance with relevant Nigerian labour requirements and internal company policies.
Assist with general administrative and people operations tasks as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources, recruitment, HR administration, people operations or related roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management or a related field.
Good understanding of HR processes, recruitment coordination, onboarding and employee documentation.
Familiarity with Nigerian labour practices and employment documentation is preferred.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and HR-related tools or systems.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Based in Nigeria and able to coordinate with the team when required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in fintech, financial services, technology, professional services, startups or fast-growing organisations.
Experience supporting recruitment for multiple departments or business functions.
Familiarity with HR policies, employee relations, onboarding and performance review processes.
Professional HR certification or membership such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI or related qualifications is an advantage.
Experience working with international teams or cross-border business environments.
Strong documentation, coordination and follow-up skills.
