Nice Place to work
Its an organization that is still trying to rediscover its old rich self amid young and energetic competition. One of the best employees training system, but the HR team are far from the employees.

Great staff, difficult members of management staff.
My line manager was a kind and understanding person. Targets weren't outrageous compared to other Banks in Nigeria but I would say pandemic really changed the work style and some line managers didn't help by making it stricter. Overall I had wonderful colleagues but honestly work morale is low.

Productive
Union Bank is one that has created a very good and lasting legacy in Nigeria, but in the recent times a lot of things has evolved and it took the bank sometimes to adapt to the new technologies that has been introduced in the banking system which has impacted in their productivity in terms of business wise but lately they knew that it’s no longer business as usual and finally they embraced the new technology and also rebranding which gave their customers a new sense of beginning and gradually business starts moving to a better conclusion.

A good place to work with great benefits
A good place to work with great benefits like education allowance paid in August. However if you are keen about your career development you need to be very alert to opportunities outside the bank early enough. There is high risk of stagnation as promotion is haphazard.
