As a project staff, a day at work simply often mean a day at the customer's office.
Wether at site offshore / onshore or at the project office location, work at SPIE meant perhaps the two most important objectives of every project: produce deliverables under time project timelines and satisfy the client with quality deliverables. That often meant a work environment of pace and pressure.
Invaluable skills of project management and industry / global standards / codes of various aspects of engineering could easily be obtained in SPIE because of its focus of rendering technical services to the major oil and gas companies that have signature specifications in virtually all aspects of engineering, project management, procurement, construction and commissioning.
I have learned to be resilient and undeterred even in the face of challenges in meeting the high requirements of clients. Personal skills development have had to be pursued within a short period of time under great pressure to keep up with the needs of the jobs as it concerns finalizing the clients deliverables promptly.
Training has been one aspect of working in SPIE I have enjoyed. HUET, CB-EBS and on-the-job training at the corporate office in France have marked my time so far with SPIE.
