it is very good for career development as a recent graduate who studied a finance related course at college. This is because there is a lot of job training.
A firm with a culture of respect. Challenging work always keeps you on your toes. You get to work long hours sometimes. You learn a lot in a relatively short time.
Pros
Challenging
Cons
Long hours
it offers a lot of challenging and exciting work and you get to work across multiple industries, however it gets tiring over time and you are forced to work long hours for not enough pay.
The office is a good place to be with diverse intelligent colleagues who challenge you with their perspective on issues. The colleagues are the most enjoyable part of the job as the camaraderie is genuine.
Cons
Long hours, know-it-all leaders
Working in PwC is a great experience to learn, collaborate and develop yourself while adding value to yourself. There is conscious effort on the part of the firm as regards Learning and Development which endears employees to grow and develop themself. The job can be demanding but that's where the working culture comes to play, it balances it out and there are days where we let down our hairs and relax.
Cons
Long hours.
Usually an exciting place to work and learn. Learnt basic accounting and corporate financial skills. Good management and an excellent workplace culture. Though there were times I had to work for more than 24hrs straight without going home for change of clothes due to tight delivery deadlines but at the end of the day, there were excellent service deliveries to clients. The most enjoyable part of the job was that I had to meet with real business men and women and assist them with all their needs.
Pros
Three days relaxation vacation to an outstanding resort In Nigeria, for all staff
Cons
Long hours at work
It's an environment that encourages learning and equips you with the necessary tools to succeed on the job. Work culture is great and there are opportunities to work on challenging assignments.

Pros
Great and friendly management always willing to help you grow and develop yourself
Cons
Pay is great within the financial consulting industry, but pretty mediocre when compared to other industries
A typical day at the office would include putting out fires...I'm kidding. There's a lot of fulfilment from being able to solve client's business issues and becoming trusted advisors.
I just started at PwC in December and my major issue is the lack of work-life balance they have.
Although managements have tried to put in place measures to mitigate this, it still is not effective.
Compensation is below par when compared to other advisory firms because it is traditionally an accounting firm.
However, the company has a strong brand name.
As a network company of PricewaterhouseCoopers - arguably the largest professional services company in the world, PwC is simply a great place to work. It is the market leader in the provision of Assurance Services in Nigeria and prides itself with a great training culture and providing excellent international exposure to its staff which promotes diversity and cultural integration.
Busy periods which lasts about 5-7 months a year could see Assurance staff work 15 hour days however this is adequately compensated for during periods of slack. It's indeed a learning environment.
PwC is a great employer and provides its employees with the space to learn and grow. The access to senior partners provides valuable coaching and mentoring.
Busy days at work from the audit of financials to the reviews and presentation of financial statements.
A fun workplace with other colleagues with the same end goals
It's a good very place for the start of an Accounting career. Modest salary compensated through work exposure and training. In the long term, not good enough, if you want a healthy life or intend to raise a family.
Pros
Exposure to the business systems and technology. Collaborative team culture
Cons
No work-life balance, No real coaching after associate grade. You're simply expected to know
Working as to say that the work must finish today, One is our second self. Worked through the night in other to deliver on target date. Slept in client office when the need arises
A typical workday is characterised by a fast paced dynamic client demands and pressing timelines.
Coming from a Civil Engineering/Science oriented background, I have learnt lots about accounting, audit, report writing and also improved my people's skills.
Management provide excellent leadership and conducive environment for work
Fantastic workplace culture bound by high ethical standards
No part of the Job has been difficult, everyday comes a different client experience and an opportunity to learn.
The dynamic nature of our clients' demands and the ease with which their various needs are met; delivering quality in good time as well
Pros

Cons
Long hours
