Pay is great within the financial consulting industry, but pretty mediocre when compared to other industries
It's a good very place for the start of an Accounting career. Modest salary compensated through work exposure and training. In the long term, not good enough, if you want a healthy life or intend to raise a family.
Exposure to the business systems and technology. Collaborative team culture
No work-life balance, No real coaching after associate grade. You're simply expected to know
A typical day at work involves me interfacing with client personnel and senior management of the companies and me reporting directly to my managing Partner and supervisor. It involves learning about the business of the client understanding business processes, evaluating them and looking for ways to improve them. It also involves detailed review of financial information and interpreting them.
A very good place and great learning environment and the good thing is they open the door to everyone irrespective of your background. The company identifies employee as their major asset and they invest heavily in staff training. The work maybe time demanding during the busy season, but the experience is worth it. PwC is a well structured organisation that live to their principles and core values.
