Full job description

Our client, a well-established healthcare institution in Lagos, is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Medical Officer to join its clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care, manage patients across diverse clinical cases, and contribute to the hospital's goal of delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of medical conditions.
  • Deliver prompt, effective care for medical, surgical, paediatric, and obstetric emergencies.
  • Design and carry out appropriate treatment plans based on clinical assessment.
  • Keep accurate, timely, and thorough patient records.
  • Work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality care delivery.
  • Follow clinical protocols, ethical standards, and patient safety guidelines at all times.
  • Take part in ward rounds, emergency response, and other assigned clinical duties.
  • Cover scheduled shifts and duty rosters, including weekends and public holidays as needed.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts within the hospital.

Requirements

  • MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Valid, current MDCN Practicing License.
  • 2-3 years post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing medical, surgical, paediatric, and obstetric emergencies.
  • Sound clinical judgment and strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and dedication to patient-centered care.

Pay: ₦500,000.00 per month
