The Aké Collective Limited is a dynamic organisation dedicated to supporting a robust ecosystem of farmers and employees. Operating across multi-entity frameworks in West Africa (Nigeria and Cameroon), we focus on key agricultural commodities including Coffee, Soy, and Fonio. We are looking for a high-trust, strategic financial leader to oversee our cross-border financial ecosystem, manage compliance, and design innovative financial vehicles.

Position Overview

Job Title: Senior Finance Manager (Structured mentorship path toward Head of Finance within 12–18 months)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid; transitioning to office-based between December 2026 and January 2027)

Job Type: Full-time

Core Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Reporting To: Founder / Chief Executive

Role Summary

The Senior Finance Manager is a dynamic, high-trust leadership position. In this role, you will oversee our multi-entity financial ecosystem, ensure robust cross-border compliance, and design strategic financial vehicles. This role offers a structured executive growth path, featuring direct mentorship from executive leadership to transition into the Head of Finance role within 12 to 18 months.

Core Responsibilities1. Treasury & Currency Management

  • Oversee treasury functions for all corporate entities across Nigeria and Cameroon.
  • Mitigate translation losses on consolidated balance sheets and optimise cash repatriation efficiency.
  • Manage deep liquidity to ensure neither entity faces cash crunches during critical agricultural harvest seasons.

2. Profit Pools Management

  • Structure, launch, and manage the Employee Profit Pool to facilitate transparent corporate profit sharing.
  • Design and oversee the Farmer Profit Pool, ensuring strict segmentation by commodity metrics (Coffee, Soy, and Fonio).

3. Tax, Governance & Cross-Border Compliance

  • Ensure 100% tax and PAYE compliance across all regional operations.
  • Manage cross-border statutory alignment, achieving 0% late-filing penalties (including Cameroon's Statistical and Tax Declaration/DSF and Nigeria's CIT filings).
  • Formally document all inter-company transactions and credit flows between the Nigerian Holdco and the Cameroon subsidiary to satisfy FIRS (Nigeria) and DGI (Cameroon) Transfer Pricing regulations.

4. Financial Reporting & Team Supervision

  • Produce consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for both countries within 5 to 7 business days of month-end.
  • Maintain strict budget-to-actual variance thresholds.
  • Supervise, mentor, and audit the accuracy and operational speed of the Junior Accountant stationed in Cameroon.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your performance will be evaluated against the following strict institutional metrics:

  • Achieve 100% "Unqualified" (Clean) audit opinions annually for both the Cameroon Subsidiary & Nigeria Holdco.
  • 0% late-filing penalties (Cameroon DSF by March 15; Nigeria CIT within 6 months of year-end).
  • 100% of inter-company transactions are documented with matching agreements and local benchmarks quarterly.
  • Minimise Translation Loss to < 5% of consolidated equity monthly.
  • Successfully repatriate 15% of investable surplus funds from Cameroon to Holdco within 10 days of approval.
  • 0 days of cash stockouts during peak Shea/Soy harvest seasons (minimum 30-day cash runway maintained).
  • Consolidated P&L is produced and distributed within 5 to 7 business days of month-end.
  • Maintain budget vs. actual spend variance strictly within + / - 5%
  • Ensure Cameroon Junior Accountant maintains + / - 5% posting errors and closes local ledgers within 7 business days of month-end.

Compensation & Benefits

Probationary Salary: ₦900,000 (Net) per month for the first six (6) months.

Post-Probation Salary: Scales upward to ₦950,000 (Net) per month upon successful review.

Performance Incentives: Annual salary review against performance benchmarks, eligible for an upward adjustment of up to 20%, subject to targets and company profitability.

Tools & Allowances:

  • A company laptop is provided for official use.
  • ₦50,000 monthly remote work data allowance (applicable during the hybrid/remote phase).

Retirement & Time Off:

  • Statutory pension contribution scheme alignment.
  • Twenty (20) working days of paid annual leave.

Pay: ₦900,000.00 - ₦1,300,000.00 per month
