VICE PRINCIPAL (ACADEMICS & ADMINISTRATION)

We are seeking a visionary, dynamic, and highly experienced Vice Principal to provide strategic academic and administrative leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal to maintain high educational standards, drive institutional growth, and foster a culture of excellence across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Leadership & Curriculum Oversight: Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Ontario (Canada) Curriculum. Ensure teaching methodologies are innovative, rigorous, and student-centered.
  • Staff Management & Professional Development: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate instructional and administrative staff. Design and execute continuous professional development (CPD) programs to elevate teaching standards.
  • Student Progress & Discipline: Oversee student academic tracking, benchmarking, and intervention strategies. Maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive school culture aligned with CBA values.
  • Operational & Administrative Leadership: Assist the Principal in day-to-day school operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, event planning, and policy enforcement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between school management, teachers, parents, and the community. Resolve high-level parent concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure total compliance with local regulatory bodies (e.g., Ministry of Education, TRCN) and international accrediting bodies.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Oversee strict child protection and safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all students and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Education Administration, or a related field (highly preferred). A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
  • Certification: TRCN certification is required. Certification or deep familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum, British Curriculum, or International Baccalaureate (IB) is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive teaching experience, with at least 3 years in a mid-to-senior leadership role (e.g., Head of School, Head of Department, Coordinator) within a reputable international or top-tier private school.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Proven track record of driving academic excellence and school growth.
  • Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in School Management Systems (SMS) and educational technology.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills suitable for an international corporate/educational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret student performance data and implement data-driven improvements.
