Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 in line with the British National Curriculum.

The ideal candidate will inspire pupils to achieve strong academic progress while supporting their cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural development within a structured and nurturing learning environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum Delivery

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS1/KS2 subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Computing, Arts, and Physical Education
  • Deliver differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain a well-structured and positive classroom environment
  • Set, mark, and provide timely feedback on classwork and homework

Assessment & Academic Progress

  • Assess, track, and report pupil progress in line with school standards
  • Maintain accurate records of achievement and attendance
  • Set academic targets and monitor individual learner development
  • Contribute to formal reports and parent consultations
  • Support pupils requiring additional academic intervention

Classroom & Behaviour Management

  • Establish clear routines and uphold high behavioural expectations
  • Implement the school’s behaviour management policy consistently
  • Promote discipline, respect, and positive learning habits

Safeguarding & Child Welfare

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
  • Comply with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Report concerns promptly through designated safeguarding channels

Parent Engagement

  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians
  • Provide updates on academic progress and behaviour
  • Participate in parent meetings, events, and school activities

Professional Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit lesson plans on time
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support teams
  • Uphold school policies and professional standards

Cultural Integration

  • Integrate culturally relevant content to enhance learning
  • Support the school’s vision of globally competitive and locally grounded education

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • TRCN certification (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school
  • Strong understanding of KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum
  • Experience in British curriculum schools is an advantage
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Participation in school events and extracurricular activities as required

Pay: From ₦200,000.00 per month
