Blossom Props is a retail business in Port Harcourt offering artificial flowers, vases, charger plates, candelabras, candle stands, decorative accessories, and a variety of event-related products.

We are looking for a confident, friendly, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at our retail shop in Port Harcourt.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their needs, recommending suitable products, answering enquiries, and helping convert customer interest into actual sales.

This is primarily an in-shop sales and customer-service position, not a field-marketing role.

We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, communicates confidently, and can build positive relationships with customers.

Previous knowledge of our products is not required, but the successful candidate must be willing to learn our product range, prices, and sales procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and professionally.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable flowers, vases, decorative accessories, and event-related products.
• Ask relevant questions to understand customers' needs, preferences, and budgets.
• Explain product features, prices, and available options clearly.
• Recommend suitable products and complementary items.
• Encourage customers to make purchases without being overly pushy.
• Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat purchases.
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries in person and through approved communication channels.
• Learn Blossom Props' products, prices, and availability.
• Assist with recording sales and processing purchases using the systems provided.
• Keep product displays clean, organised, and attractive.
• Support daily shop activities and basic stock organisation.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Report customer feedback, complaints, requests, and important sales information to management.
• Support the achievement of shop sales targets.

Requirements

• Must be based in Port Harcourt or able to commute reliably to our Ogunabali shop.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident speaking with customers and explaining products.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
• Able to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Professional and presentable.
• Willing and able to learn quickly.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Organised, responsible, punctual, and dependable.
• Able to follow instructions and work well within a small team.
• Comfortable using a smartphone, WhatsApp, and basic digital tools.
• Able to record sales and customer information accurately.

Previous experience in any of the following is an advantage but not compulsory:

Compensation

₦100,000 – ₦150,000 per month

Final salary will depend on previous experience, communication skills, customer-service ability, and overall suitability.

This is a full-time, on-site retail position.
