Job Title: Café Waiter

Department: Operations/Hospitality

Reports To: Cafe Supervisor

Internal Relationships: Café Supervisor /Manager, Kitchen team, Cashiers, Other waiting staff, Cleaning/maintenance staff

Salary: ₦100,000 Monthly

Location: Maitama, Abuja

Work Hours: Full-Time: Monday–Sunday (8:00AM–10:00PM) Shift-Based One Day In-One Day Out

JOB SUMMARY: The Cafe Waiter is the first point of contact for customers and is responsible for delivering friendly, efficient, and professional service, ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome guests warmly and attend to them courteously
  • Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately
  • Serve coffee and other drinks professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
  • Handle payments and operate POS systems correctly
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and Café staff for smooth service
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health standards are followed
  • Assist with daily opening and closing duties
  • Ensure prompt service and manage customer requests professionally
  • Report any customer complaints or incidents to the supervisor immediately

QUALIFICATIONSANDEXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum SSCE; additional hospitality training is an advantage
  • Prior experience in a Café or restaurant is an added advantage
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills for POS transactions
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
  • Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays/items up to 15–20 lbs
  • Good personal hygiene and grooming
