GENERAL MANAGER – HOSPITALITY

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000 monthly
Experience: 5–8 years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, delivering excellent guest experiences, managing staff, driving revenue, and maintaining high operational standards.

The successful candidate should have strong leadership, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience managing hospitality operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall daily operations of the establishment.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, supervise, and manage staff across different departments.
  • Ensure high standards of guest service and hospitality are consistently maintained.
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, budgets, and overall financial performance.
  • Develop strategies to drive sales, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and cost-control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and other relevant hospitality standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor staff performance and implement appropriate training and development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and introduce processes that enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, WITH AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A GENERAL MANAGER IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY.
  • Proven experience managing hospitality operations and leading diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, customer service, and revenue management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial and budget management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards within the hospitality industry.
