Our client is a growing organisation in the food production industry committed to delivering high quality products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control and Compliance Officer to oversee quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Role Overview

The Quality Control and Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing and managing quality control programmes across the entire food value chain. The successful candidate will ensure products, processes, and staff consistently comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and recognised food safety standards while driving continuous quality improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control programmes to ensure product safety, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production activities across the food value chain to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Ensure all products meet or exceed internal quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and compliance checks across production and operational processes.
  • Monitor staff adherence to company policies, food safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate quality control records, documentation, and compliance reports.
  • Prepare and present regular quality control and compliance reports to management.
  • Reconcile and maintain monthly quality assurance records and documentation.
  • Provide quality control guidance and technical support to operational teams.
  • Identify quality or compliance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Assist other departments with operational support where required to ensure smooth business operations.

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Compliance role within the food production or FMCG industry.
  • Good understanding of food safety management systems and standards such as HACCP, GMP, GAP, GHP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience implementing quality control processes and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must reside within or close to Abraham Adesanya, Lekki, or be willing to commute conveniently.

Pay: ₦200,000.00 per month
