Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Remote (Nigeria)

Work Mode: Full-Time / Remote

Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦600,000 / month

About the Role

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to champion product quality across our engineering pipeline.

You will be responsible for defining and implementing automated and manual testing strategies for our web-based geoportals and offline-capable mobile data collection applications—ensuring accurate data routing, stable map rendering, and a flawless user experience.

Responsibilities

* Author, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts tailored for web interfaces, REST APIs, and mobile applications.

* Perform extensive manual and automated testing, with special focus on offline storage, synchronization protocols, location tracking accuracy (GPS/coordinate calculations), and spatial map rendering.

* Systematically isolate, document, and track bugs to resolution, working closely with engineering and data teams to resolve critical pipeline blockages.

* Integrate automated test suites directly into modern CI/CD pipelines to enforce strict continuous quality gates before production deployments.

* Establish, standardize, and advocate for testing standards, mobile app simulation workflows, and quality assurance processes across the development team.

* Review functional requirements and technical designs to provide early, critical feedback on feature feasibility, data edge cases, and performance limitations.

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance (QA) engineering in a professional tech environment.

* Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Appium (particularly for mobile application testing).

* Strong proficiency in API testing and automation utilizing tools like Postman or SoapUI to validate heavy data streams.

* Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, Git workflows, and QA integration within rapid agile sprints.

* Exceptional attention to detail, highly analytical thinking, and outstanding written communication skills for writing rigorous, clear bug reports.

Pay: ₦400,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month
