We are recruiting teachers for all classes and categories across our Nursery and Primary sections. Applications are welcome from qualified educators at every level, including:

  • Early Years/Childcare Specialists and teaching assistants with relevant experience

Whether you specialise in early years foundation or upper primary, there is a place for you on the Tessrah team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Teaching & Learning

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that integrate the British and Nigerian curricula appropriately for the assigned class or subject.
  • Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports every child's learning and development.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress through continuous assessment, tests, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.

Islamic Ethos & Character Formation

  • Integrate Islamic etiquette and knowledge into daily classroom practice, modelling good character and guiding pupils in moral and ethical development.
  • Support the school's ethos by fostering discipline, respect, and God-consciousness in learners.

Classroom & Pupil Management

  • Maintain order and discipline in the classroom in line with school policy.
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, break periods, and other school activities as assigned.
  • Safeguard the welfare and well-being of every pupil, observing child protection standards at all times.

Administrative & Collaborative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records — attendance registers, lesson notes, assessment records, and report cards.
  • Prepare and submit lesson plans and schemes of work in line with school requirements.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the management team to uphold and improve teaching standards across the school.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Minimum of OND/HND, NCE, B.Ed., or B.Sc. with PGDE.
  • Experience: At least 2–3 years of proven teaching experience in a nursery or primary school setting, with solid understanding of the Nigerian curriculum and effective classroom management.
  • Location: Must reside in or be able to commute easily to Ikorodu. Proximity is key for punctuality and consistency.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing disposition.

Added Advantage (Not Mandatory):
A valid TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) licence or registration is an edge and will be viewed favourably — but it is not a dealbreaker. Experienced teachers without it are encouraged to apply, as we value practical classroom competence and a proven track record above all.

Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV and a brief cover letter to adebolasahid@gmail.com using the job title and preferred section or via Whatsapp to 08081664120
