EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

  • Full Time - Onsite
  • Monday - Friday is required for this position in a fast-paced office setting supporting physicians remotely. Only applicants who live in Lagos, and willing to commute to the office in Mende, Maryland.

Job Summary

The Medical Officer will play a crucial role in assisting a primary care physician remotely in various clinical and administrative duties in an outpatient setting to increase the clinic workflow and improve the physician and clinic overall efficiency. Only applicants who live in Lagos or willing to relocate close to the office in Mende, Maryland.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • M.B.B.S or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-10 year post NYSC clinical experience is mandatory.
  • Certification - Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
  • Proficiency with the use of the computer and a fast typer.
  • Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Ability to remotely assist physicians in a primary care outpatient setting.
  • Complete training on the electronic medical record system used by the physician.
  • Managing the physician's inbox messages:
  • Addressing medication refill requests.
  • Addressing patient portal messages.
  • Interpreting lab results per set protocols and communicating results to patients.
  • Addressing and documenting incoming records.
  • Scheduling appointments for select patients.
  • Coordinating follow-up tasks.
  • Ensuring completion of assigned actions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦800,000.00 - ₦1000,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Lagos: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • MBBS (Required)
