Full job description
About the Role:
Dokitami is looking for a Media Buyer who can turn advertising budgets into measurable, predictable business growth.
The Media Buyer will be responsible for planning, launching, managing, analysing, and optimising paid advertising campaigns to generate qualified leads and profitable customer acquisition.
This is not simply an Ads Manager role. We are looking for someone who combines Media Buying + Data Analysis + Funnel Understanding + Creative Analysis + Commercial Thinking + Continuous Optimisation.
You will be expected to understand:
How much we spent → What the spend produced → What is working → What is not working → Why → What we should do next.
Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Management:
- Plan and develop paid advertising campaigns based on clear business objectives.
- Set up and launch campaigns across approved advertising platforms.
- Manage advertising accounts, budgets, audiences, campaigns, ad sets, and creatives.
- Monitor campaign delivery and identify performance issues quickly.
- Optimise campaigns based on data and defined performance objectives.
- Manage retargeting campaigns and audience segments.
- Scale successful campaigns while maintaining efficiency.
- Pause or adjust underperforming campaigns based on clear analysis.
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation.
Advertising Platforms:
Experience with one or more of the following platforms is highly relevant:
- Meta Ads
- Facebook Ads
- Instagram Ads
- Google Ads
- YouTube Ads
- TikTok Ads
- Other approved digital advertising platforms
The role may expand to additional advertising channels as Dokitami's marketing operations grow.
Performance Analysis & Optimisation:
Monitor and analyse key advertising metrics, including:
- Spend
- Impressions
- Reach
- CPM
- CTR
- CPC
- Landing-page views
- Leads
- CPL
- Conversion rate
- CPA/CAC
- Revenue
- ROAS, where available
You will also analyse downstream metrics such as qualified leads, assessments, orders, and sales conversion where data is available.
Funnel Analysis:
Understand the full customer acquisition journey:
Advertisement → Landing Page → Lead Form → Lead Captured → WhatsApp → Assessment → Recommendation → Order
The objective is not simply to generate leads, but to help Dokitami generate qualified clients and revenue.
You will identify where problems occur within the funnel and work with relevant teams to improve conversion.
Creative & Audience Testing:
- Test different audiences, hooks, angles, creatives, formats, CTAs, scripts, and offers.
- Analyse which creative concepts are generating the strongest results.
- Identify creative fatigue before performance deteriorates significantly.
- Provide data-backed feedback to the Creative Strategist, Copywriter, and Graphic Designer/UI/UX Designer.
- Help the creative team understand why certain ads perform better than others.
- Develop clear hypotheses for audience and creative testing.
Budget Management:
- Monitor daily, campaign, product, market, and monthly advertising spend.
- Ensure advertising budgets are deliberately planned and controlled.
- Identify wasted spend and opportunities for better allocation.
- Scale successful campaigns carefully.
- Follow company approval processes for significant budget changes.
- Protect Dokitami's advertising investment.
Tracking & Attribution:
Ensure relevant tracking and measurement systems are functioning, including where applicable:
- Meta Pixel
- Conversion API
- Google Analytics
- UTM parameters
- Landing-page tracking
- Lead-form tracking
- Conversion events
- Funnel analytics
- Backend lead tracking
Work with Development and other relevant teams to identify and resolve tracking or funnel issues.
Reporting:
Provide clear and actionable performance reports.
Daily reporting should include key information such as:
- Total spend
- Total leads
- Average CPL
- Landing-page conversion rate
- Orders/purchases, where available
- CPA
- Revenue
- ROAS, where available
- Campaign-level performance
- Best-performing creative
- Poor-performing creative
- Actions taken
- Issues identified
- Priorities for the following day
Weekly and monthly reporting should identify trends, winning campaigns, winning audiences, creative performance, funnel performance, budget allocation, growth opportunities, and wasted spend.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Media Buyer, Performance Marketer, Paid Ads Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience managing paid advertising campaigns.
- Strong experience with Meta Ads and/or other major paid advertising platforms.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Understanding of CPL, CPA/CAC, CTR, CPC, CPM, conversion rate, ROAS, and related metrics.
- Strong understanding of marketing funnels and customer acquisition.
- Experience with audience and creative testing.
- Ability to identify performance trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with advertising tracking and analytics.
- Strong budget management skills.
- Ability to communicate performance insights clearly to creative, sales, and other teams.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage campaigns remotely.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
We Want Someone Who Is:
- Highly analytical
- Commercially minded
- Data-driven
- Detail-oriented
- Fast and responsive
- Comfortable working with numbers and performance data
- Curious about customer behaviour
- Strong in problem-solving
- Comfortable challenging assumptions with data
- Able to connect advertising performance to actual business outcomes
- Organised and disciplined with documentation
- Collaborative with Creative, Sales, Development, and Marketing teams
- Proactive in identifying problems and opportunities
Healthcare Advertising & Compliance:
Because Dokitami operates within the healthcare space, the Media Buyer must understand relevant advertising restrictions involving healthcare, medical products, personal attributes, weight loss, before-and-after imagery, health claims, and restricted terminology.
The successful candidate must be able to review rejected advertisements, understand policy issues, and avoid repeatedly submitting non-compliant ads without addressing the underlying problem.
Remote Work Requirements:
This is a fully remote position.
The successful candidate must maintain:
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Backup internet/mobile data
- Reliable electricity
- Backup power where necessary
- Functional computer
- Functional mobile phone
- Company email
- Slack access
- Advertising platform access
- Analytics and reporting access
- Other approved marketing tools
You are expected to remain available and responsive during designated working hours. Remote work does not reduce expectations regarding productivity, communication, deadlines, reporting, or accountability.
Because advertising campaigns may continue running outside normal working hours, significant issues involving high advertising spend, disabled accounts, payment failures, or abnormal campaign behaviour must be escalated promptly when identified.
Use of AI:
AI tools may be used to support:
- Data analysis
- Campaign research
- Competitor research
- Creative analysis
- Hypothesis generation
- Reporting
- Trend identification
- Audience research
- Brainstorming
However, the Media Buyer remains responsible for checking data, validating conclusions, making budget decisions, protecting advertising accounts, and ensuring recommendations make commercial sense.
Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be assessed based on:
- Advertising Efficiency: CPL, CPA/CAC, ROAS, conversion rate
- Volume: Leads, qualified leads, assessments, and orders attributable to advertising
- Budget Management: Budget adherence, waste reduction, and effective allocation
- Optimisation: Speed and quality of performance decisions
- Creative Testing: Testing frequency, winner identification, and fatigue detection
- Reporting: Accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and quality of insights
- Reliability: Responsiveness, account monitoring, communication, and ownership
What Success Looks Like?
A successful Dokitami Media Buyer does not simply know how to operate Ads Manager.
You understand:
Money + Data + Creative + Funnels + Customers + Conversion
You will be successful when you can identify where advertising money is being made or wasted, scale what works, stop inefficient spending, communicate meaningful creative insights, collaborate with Sales and Development, and ultimately help Dokitami acquire more qualified customers profitably.
Compensation
Total Monthly Compensation: ₦400,000
- Base Salary: ₦350,000
- Work Support Allowance: ₦50,000
The Work Support Allowance is intended to support routine remote work-related expenses, including internet/mobile data, communication, software and digital tools, computer accessories, and other incidental work expenses.
