Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment at all times.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly.
• Ensure all food is stored correctly in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
• Replenish kitchen stock and inform supervisors when supplies are running low.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and organizing workstations.
• Clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, shelves, and storage areas regularly.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues.
• Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures.
• Ensure workstations are kept organized and ready for efficient food preparation.
• Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Pay: ₦80,000.00 - ₦120,000.00 per hour
