Full job description

About Valinno Systems Limited
Valinno Systems Limited is a leading technology company delivering innovative software solutions for the retail and hospitality industry across Africa. We offer a collaborative, professional, and growth-focused work environment where employees are empowered to contribute meaningfully and develop their careers.

Our solutions power the daily operations of hotels, restaurants and retail businesses. Every deployment is backed by dedicated support.

About the Role
We are looking for a Customer Account Officer to manage client accounts, maintain billing and contract records, and support our ongoing sales and customer service operations.

The role blends three things: customer support, sales administration, and financial record-keeping. You will be the person our clients speak to about their accounts, and the person internally who makes sure those accounts stay accurate, current and well looked after.

Key Responsibilities

Client Communication: Answer customer calls and emails regarding their accounts, license or subscription status, balances, charges and service questions. Keep clients informed on anything affecting their software or support cover.

Billing and Records: Raise and issue invoices, and maintain digital records of contracts, license renewals and payments. Verify invoice accuracy, reconcile payments received against invoices issued, and investigate discrepancies. Process credit notes, refunds and pro-rata adjustments, and keep client balances accurate at all times. Resolve billing disputes and follow up on overdue balances.

Renewals and Contract Tracking: Maintain a renewal calendar for all annual licenses and support contracts. Contact clients 30 to 60 days before expiry to confirm renewal, agree terms and issue the invoice, so that no client's cover lapses unnoticed.

Onboarding Coordination: Coordinate new deployments from sale to go-live — agreeing the installation schedule with the client, confirming the hardware and license list with the technical team, gathering the setup details required, and handing over user documentation once the system is live.

CRM Management: Keep internal databases and CRM tools up to date with current client details, contract terms, installed products and notes from every client interaction. Keep signed contracts, service agreements and hardware warranty records properly filed and retrievable.

Sales Support: Support the sales team by scheduling product demos and preparing proposals and quotations for software and POS hardware.

Issue Resolution: Work with the technical support and accounts teams to resolve client problems quickly, and follow through until the customer is satisfied. Pass recurring complaints and feature requests to the product team rather than resolving each one in isolation.

Reporting: Produce a weekly and monthly account report covering open issues, renewals falling due, collections status and any accounts at risk.

Required Skills
Communication — Clear verbal and written English, with the confidence to speak to hotel and restaurant managers as well as our internal technical teams.

Software Proficiency — Comfortable with CRM tools and with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet and bookkeeping software.

Organisation — Strong attention to detail, with the ability to track multiple client accounts, contracts, renewal dates and transaction timelines accurately.

Follow-through — The discipline to chase an issue, a payment or a renewal to completion without being prompted.

Qualifications

  • BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • [2–4] years verifiable post NYSC experience in account management, customer service, sales support or a similar role
  • NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
  • Experience in software, IT or the hospitality sector is an advantage
  • Resident in or able to commute reliably to Ikeja, Lagos

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance incentives
  • Pension, HMO etc.
  • Product training on the full Biz Edge and Biodux suites of solutions
  • A collaborative, professional working environment with direct access to management
  • A clear path into senior account management or business development

Note
Salary is gross.
