Job Title: General Manager (Hotel Operations)

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: ₦350,000 Monthly

Work Schedule

- Five (5) working days per week

- Two (2) rotational off days

- Availability to oversee operations, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a 14-room hotel. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent operational, financial, and people management skills. This role requires someone with integrity, a deep understanding of hotel ethics and hospitality standards, and a proven ability to drive occupancy and revenue through effective hotel marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

- Lead, supervise, and motivate all hotel staff while maintaining high performance standards.

- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining excellent customer service and promptly resolving guest concerns.

- Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy, improve revenue, and strengthen the hotel's market presence.

- Drive hotel marketing initiatives, partnerships, and promotional campaigns.

- Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability.

- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of the hotel.

- Manage inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.

- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements

- Minimum of 6 years' experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.

- Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest relations, and hospitality best practices.

- Proven experience in hotel marketing, business development, and revenue generation.

- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and strong ethical standards.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Strong financial and operational management abilities.

- Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite is an added advantage.
