About the role

Icing Studios is looking for a talented Brand Designer to join our growing creative studio.

We’re looking for someone who can take a brand from discovery and research through creative direction, visual identity development and final brand applications.

This isn’t a logo-only role. You’ll work across Icing Studios, our internal ventures and selected client projects, helping us build complete, thoughtful visual worlds across brand, digital and marketing touchpoints.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct brand discovery and competitor/category research
• Translate strategy into strong creative and visual directions
• Develop moodboards, concepts and visual territories
• Design complete visual identity systems
• Develop logos, typography, colour, graphic devices and brand assets
• Create brand guidelines and reusable templates
• Design pitch decks, company decks and presentations
• Create social media graphics and Instagram carousels
• Develop campaign and launch creative
• Create marketing collateral, reports and editorial layouts
• Produce website and digital brand assets
• Create mockups and polished presentations of design work
• Maintain visual consistency across different brand touchpoints

What we’re looking for

• Strong portfolio of brand identity and visual design work
• Understanding of the full branding process, from discovery to delivery
• Excellent typography, layout and composition skills
• Strong presentation/deck design skills
• Ability to develop creative direction rather than only execute one
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work across different brand aesthetics and industries
• Confident using Figma, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Good communication and ability to explain design decisions
• Organised approach to files, templates and brand systems

Nice to have: motion design/After Effects, video editing, photography/art direction or print-production experience.

Portfolio requirement

Your portfolio should demonstrate complete brand projects, including creative direction, identity systems and real-world brand applications.

Please include presentation/deck work. Portfolios consisting mainly of logos will not be sufficient for this role.

Compensation

Starting salary: ₦300,000/month

There is scope for salary progression as the role and responsibilities grow, with an early performance and compensation review after the first few months.
