This individual will work closely with the Board of Directors to define and execute the company's mission, vision, and long-term objectives while ensuring sustainable profitability, stakeholder satisfaction, and organizational development.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of leading complex organizations, driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. This role demands an exceptional leader who can navigate dynamic business environments, forge strategic partnerships, and represent the organization at the highest levels locally and internationally.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing recruitment and human capital development firm operating across multiple sectors in Nigeria and the broader African market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the organization, ensuring alignment of all business units with the company's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies, annual operating plans, and long-term growth roadmaps in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including business development, client relations, service delivery, finance, human resources, and technology.
  • Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability by identifying new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential mergers or acquisitions.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing executive management team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the principal spokesperson and representative of the organization to clients, partners, investors, regulatory bodies, media, and the general public.
  • Ensure robust corporate governance practices, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across all operations.
  • Oversee the company's financial performance, including budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Champion organizational development initiatives including talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the recruitment and human capital industry.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, government agencies, industry associations, and international partners to enhance the company's brand and market position.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors on organizational performance, strategic progress, challenges, and opportunities, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field from a reputable institution. A doctoral degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a C-suite or senior executive role.
  • Demonstrated experience in the recruitment, human capital, consulting, or professional services industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading organizations through growth, transformation, and change management initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements, budgets, and financial forecasting at an organizational level.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks in Nigeria.
  • Established network of relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, private sector leaders, investors, and industry bodies.
  • Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors, with the ability to present strategic plans and performance reports effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian business landscape, labor market dynamics, and emerging economic trends across Africa.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM-SCP, CFA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
