As our team grows, we are looking for a skilled and dependable In-House Chef to prepare high-quality meals for our office staff in Port Harcourt.

Job Summary

The In-House Chef will be responsible for planning and preparing daily meals for the WakaMate team while maintaining excellent food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen hygiene.

The successful candidate should be confident preparing a wide variety of Nigerian dishes as well as selected continental meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh daily meals for office staff
• Cook a variety of Nigerian dishes to a high standard
• Prepare selected continental and intercontinental meals when required
• Plan weekly menus and manage ingredient requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
• Store food safely and manage ingredients properly
• Reduce food waste through proper portion control
• Prepare shopping and ingredient lists when required
• Ensure meals are ready and served on schedule
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional working environment

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a chef or cook
• Excellent knowledge of Nigerian cuisine
• Ability to prepare selected continental dishes
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to follow meal instructions and dietary preferences
• Professional attitude and reliability
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, office, private household, or catering environment is an advantage

Salary

₦150,000–₦250,000 per month depending on experience, cooking ability, consistency, cleanliness, and overall performance.
