Job Description: Volunteer Backend Developer (Web3 Trading Platform)

About the Product

We're building a next-generation AI-powered Web3 trading platform focused on helping users trade smarter through intelligent automation, real-time market data, wallet analytics, copy trading, portfolio insights, and seamless blockchain interactions. The platform draws inspiration from leading Web3 trading ecosystems such as Axiom, BullX, Photon, and similar on-chain trading tools while introducing AI-powered decision making and enhanced trading experiences.

This is an opportunity to work on a real product solving problems in decentralized trading alongside an ambitious startup team.

Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate Backend Developer who enjoys building scalable backend systems and has practical experience with Web3 trading products, blockchain infrastructure, or DeFi applications.

This is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong portfolio, contribute to an exciting product, and work with a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain backend APIs and microservices.
  • Integrate blockchain RPCs, wallets, and on-chain data.
  • Develop trading-related features such as portfolio tracking, wallet analytics, copy trading, and transaction processing.
  • Optimize backend performance, security, and scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product designers, and blockchain engineers.

Requirements (4)

  • Experience building backend applications with Node.js (NestJS/Express) or similar backend frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience working with Web3 trading platforms such as Axiom, BullX, Photon, Trojan, or similar crypto trading ecosystems.
  • Good understanding of blockchain concepts, smart contract interactions, REST APIs, WebSockets, and database design.
  • Self-driven, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a remote startup environment.
