Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our client's customers in the restaurant. The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for customers. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Knowledge about the menu well enough to help guest make an informed meal choice—and to upsell when possible.

2. Presenting menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages.

3. Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials.

4. Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff, as well as of any special dietary needs or special requests.

5. Offer menu recommendations upon request.

6. Up-sell additional products when appropriate.

7. Collect’s food orders from the kitchen, and drink from the bar to verify that they are correct, and serves them to customers.

8. Ensures that customers are satisfied with their meals and processes orders for additional courses if necessary.

9. Should be able to keep track of tables, and remembering guest orders

10. Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.

11. After collecting bills from customers, it is important you immediately hand over the correct amount to the cashier.

12. Follow all relevant health department regulations.

13. To return guest credit card, signature slip, and any change. Immediately after use.

14. Maintains familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information

15. Attends various training sessions organized by direct supervisors and the head of the department, further improving his / her performance level and preparing for career advancement to a higher position within the hospitality industry following health code standards with regards to the handling of food.

16. Perform and complete shift duties to ensure proper handover.

17. You are required to stand for long hours during your shift period.

18. You are responsible for cleaning the table you took order from after diners, as well as tidying up any spills.

19. You are to have a calculating mind and must be honest when giving guests their receipts.

20. We don’t not appreciate our servers fraternizing with guest or directing soliciting for tips

21. Servers must know all of a restaurant’s sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies. A health inspection could happen any day, and restaurant servers need to make sure they aren’t committing any violations.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·Minimum of OND/HND/Bsc in business management or hospitality management or any related field.

· Must be confident, Must be very courteous. and have friendly disposition.

·Experience as a Waitress in a vip restaurant or lounge.

Must be able to communicate well with guests.

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

· Team work and Flexibility to work in shifts

· Good understanding of food combination and product Knowledge.

· Must possess good communication skill.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦75,000.00 per month
