As a Ticketing Officer, you’ll oversee the full ticketing lifecycle, from fare research to ticket issuance, changes, and refunds, with precision and proactive client engagement. You’ll utilize industry-leading GDS platforms, manage complex itineraries, and ensure a seamless customer experience. Your attention to detail and client-centric approach will be key in both accurate ticketing and nurturing client trust.

Responsibilities:

Full-cycle Ticketing Operations

  • Manage end-to-end ticketing for domestic and international travel using Global Distribution Systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).

  • Ensure ticket issuance aligns with client requests, company policies, and airline regulations.

Itinerary Accuracy & Management

  • Verify travel details such as route, fare rules, dates, pricing, connections, and visa requirements.
  • Double-check itineraries to ensure zero errors that may disrupt travel.
  • Provide alternative flight and fare options when required.

Client-Facing Excellence

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries on fares, policies, and booking updates.
  • Clearly explain fare conditions, penalties, and refund processes to clients.
  • Manage special requests such as seat preferences, meal plans, or wheelchair assistance.

Vendor Relations & Issue Resolution

  • Liaise with airlines and suppliers to resolve booking issues or disruptions.
  • Negotiate fare adjustments or waivers where possible to minimize client costs.
  • Coordinate with airlines for group bookings, re-routings, or urgent client needs.

Record-Keeping & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, invoices, payments, and ticketing logs.
  • Reconcile BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) reports and ensure compliance with audit standards.
  • File all documentation systematically for quick reference and accountability.

Travel Advisory & Policy Tracking

  • Stay updated on airline rules, fare structures, and travel advisories.
  • Monitor visa entry restrictions, government regulations, and COVID-19 travel updates.
  • Proactively guide clients on policies to avoid compliance or entry issues.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field. IATA/GDS certification is a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in ticketing or reservations within a travel agency or airline.
  • Proficiency with GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and ticketing software).
  • Flexible availability, including shifts or after-hours support if required.
