Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the company’s logistics and distribution operations. The successful candidate will ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods across all business locations while maintaining high service standards, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing transportation, fleet operations, warehouse coordination, delivery performance, route optimization, and logistics personnel to support the organization’s operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Distribution Management

· Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient distribution of products across all business locations.

· Plan and coordinate daily transportation and delivery activities to meet customer and operational requirements.

· Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

· Optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

· Ensure seamless coordination between warehouses, production, procurement, and retail operations.

Fleet Management

· Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s fleet of vehicles.

· Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and driver performance.

· Ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

· Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordinatio

· Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory movement and stock availability.

· Monitor stock transfers between locations and ensure proper documentation.

· Ensure efficient loading, unloading, and storage practices.

· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies related to logistics activities.

Cost Management

· Prepare and manage the logistics budget.

· Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

· Negotiate competitive rates with logistics service providers and vendors.

· Improve operational efficiency while maintaining service quality.

Team Leadership

· Lead, supervise, and develop logistics officers, drivers, dispatch personnel, and other logistics staff.

· Establish performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.

· Ensure staff comply with company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.

· Identify training needs and support employee development.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

· Build and maintain strong relationships with transport vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

· Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels.

· Resolve logistics-related issues promptly to maintain business continuity.

· Collaborate with internal departments to improve supply chain efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Management

· Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

· Maintain accurate logistics records, delivery documentation, and fleet documentation.

· Implement measures to reduce product loss, damage, and theft during transportation.

· Promote a culture of workplace health and safety within logistics operations.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related discipline.

· Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain management, preferably within FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or distribution.

· Proven experience managing fleet operations and logistics teams.

· Strong knowledge of transportation planning, route optimization, and inventory movement.

· Experience managing logistics budgets and cost optimization initiatives.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
